Zane has a great imagination and I love just listening to it! So this is what he has done this morning.......
His dad made him a rifle out of wood. While I was showering he colored all over it to make it look "camo" and drew and chamber of where and how the bullets go down to shoot really far. I came in the office to pay bills and this is what I hear. SHHHHHH! POW!!!! I shot a deer mom, actually it is a Big Buck. You pretend you are the buck. Fall over. So I followed his instruction. Come on boys, lets skin it now before it gets too hot and our meat ruins. (He skins me at this time) Let's cook him up and eat! Yummy!!!!
Boy, can you tell we are hunters or WHAT!!!!
Second pretend! He gets on the fax phone that is not plugged in to call his daddy and this is what I hear.
"Hey, Dad." Will you bring me a candy? Twix! What? I was a good boy. You aren't bringing me a candy? Oh, my mom says I was a bad boy at school today? BUT DAD I WANT A CANDY!!!!! Bring me one!!! FINE, next time I will be a Good boy!"
I think HMMMM I wonder what he really has been like at school.
Speaking of school...this is grandparents week and they have made the most adorable things and learned the cutest poems. It is awesome! They also learned how to do fire drills and Zane got scared. They kept doing them over and over until he realized it was just pretend and practice. He really thought that she was saying the house was on fire because he asked about our smoke alarms and we told them they go off when there is smoke or fire. He said he didn't want his house to burn down. He was upset. Now I know, even after much explaining by his teacher, why he was so frightened about the alarm going off!
